The Phoenix Brighton invites you to celebrate the longest night.
This 21st December we’ll be observing the solstice with art and sound pieces exploring light and shadow, rituals, apocalypse and the birth of the new.  Experimental drawing happenings, NASA films, performance, bioluminescent bacteria, talks on time, uncertainty and Armageddon from Brighton’s finest and more… Come together for song, drink and good company as the North Pole begins it’s slow tilt back towards the light.  All ages welcome.
The event runs from 8pm - 11pm after the Burning of the Clocks.  The ground floor of the Phoenix will be filled with artworks, performances, interactive pieces, projection experiments and spoken word around the theme of light and darkness, shadows, the solstice, apocalypse and travels in space and time.
